Senior Director, Market Access Chiesi

Marc Claussen has been with Chiesi, USA, Inc, since 2013 and serves as Senior Director, Market Access. Mr. Claussen’s work focuses on the company’s payer value development efforts, payer interactions, and he is responsible for launching Chiesi’s Health Economics Outcomes Research (HERO) initiative to meet the growing demand by payers and providers to understand the economic and clinical impact of therapeutic choice decisions..

Mr. Claussen is an important member of Chiesi’s Global Market Access Team and the Pricing Committee, as well as a contributing member of the Business Development due diligence team. 

During his career, Mr. Clausen has worked with a number of pharmaceutical companies, such as Nuvo Research, Alpharma Pharmaceuticals, LLC and Watson Pharmaceuticals (now Actavis, Inc.), holding positions in sales, sales, management, managed markets and market access. In addition, he worked with BusinessOne Technologies, a consulting firm focused on providing and analyzing formulary data for major managed care organizations (MCOs), integrating performance data and providing clients with strategy to address managed markets. 

Mr. Claussen earned a Bachelors in Secondary Education and Political Science from the University of Evansville (Evansville, Indiana) and a Post Graduate Certificate in Health Economics and Outcomes Research from the University of Washington (Seattle, Washington).
